Gradings at our club are not compulsory, you can train only if you like, that’s fine by us. If you do participate in our gradings you need to accept that it is down to you to make sure you pass and are up to scratch with all your studying. Never ask to double grade, the answer is no, even if you miss a grading you cannot double grade to catch up. Minimum attendances between grades must be adhered to,even if you are only one attendance short as this is a minimum attendance and most students take longer to reach the skill level. This includes all Tiny Tigers, Juniors and Seniors.
Any members missing from training for more than 3 months must retake their previous grade, including Black Belts.
All Black Belt candidates are to complete the Black Belt candidates’ written examination and must achieve 100% pass rate before their grading can take place. There will also be a section about what your ideas are about for your future progression if you pass Black Belt level.
If the club committee is happy with your results and future plans then you will be invited to apply and try out the practical examination for Black Belts.
If you are successful in passing your Dan grade practical examination you will receive our club Shodan-Ho certificate and black belt.
After 3 months of a further responsibility period you will awarded 1st Dan (Shodan) certification from our Governing Body and signed licence record book.
